The Samsung Galaxy Note gets Ice Cream Sandwich

The surprisingly popular Samsung Galaxy Note has been given an upgrade to it’s software with the introduction of Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich to the device. The upgrade has gone out to customers in Germany and the Netherlands so far. This is a good indication that it will be rolled out to the rest of the world shortly. The update is said to be 320MB in size.
Definitely something great to look forward to.

In Australia the Samsung Galaxy Note’s popularity has far exceeded the expectations of everyone. The device is great value and Galaxy Note plans are on par in price to other devices.

The Samsung Galaxy Note – A surprise hit

One of the most interesting phones to be designed in recent memory is probably the Samsung Galaxy Note. One of the main reasons for this is that it fulfills a need which no other device currently is able to fulfill.

The smart phone era has heralded in the convergence of many devices into the one device. Although the screens on smart phones are brilliant, the issue which cannot be overcome is the size of the screens on these devices are not good for watching movies and other media, they are simply too small. Many people have purchased other devices such as tablet PC’s which work well as media players however they do not have the same portability as a smart phone and therefore cannot go with you to as many places.

The Samsung Galaxy Note fills the gap in between these two types of devices and allows you to watch media on a good size screen with the portability of a smart phone.
